Smoking Cessation, CAM treatments.

Although I am not surprised I am upset that CAM treatments appear to be either avoided or completely ignored with regard to "smoking cessation". While it is readily acknowledged that every individual responds differently to different treatments there seems to be no acknowledgement of even the possibility that CAM treatments may be useful.

The response that many CAM practitioners hear is that there is no Evidence to support their procedures. While there are growing arguments as to what research evidence is reliable and valid, with evidence that many Drug companies are presenting "situated" research and that often researcher factors are being suppressed, there is no wonder that there is growing doubt over the arguments being used to apparently exclude CAM procedures.
