Sore Throats 4 Months, 4 courses of antibiotics, 3 doctors. What should I do?

Posted , 3 users are following.

I've taken the following antibiotics:

Levaquin

Azythromicin

Amoxicillin

Bactrim

At first they told me I had strep. I took the antibiotics and nothing.

A month later I went back and again strep, but a different type. Once again antibiotics. Didn't help.

A friend doctor of mine prescribed a stronger antibiotics bc she thought it could be an STD in my throat but the culture and blood work came back negative.

I went to the ENT, that's when I was told I had MRSA. I took the antibiotics and I felt a bit better but nothing major. Went back to get another culture, this time it was negative.

I got a CT scan and nothing.

The doctor said it's either silent GERD or an allergy. He said to take acid reflux medicine and antihistamines for 3 months but I'm not convinced. What should I do?

I've never had a fever during this whole thing btw

I have had a mild sore throat for 4 months!! One treatment of anti biotics didnt help. 2 doctors said its nothing serious. And a barium swallow xray showed small web. Doctors said "your good" wtf? It started as super dry throat with moist mouth. Food going down slow but very little pain. About 2 weeks ago it started hurting every time I swallow yawn or deep breath!! Starting yesterday not as much pain, but back to dry and way more scratchy. It feels like right before you get a cold but cold never comes!!No fever or any other symptoms. Appt. with specialist next month. Sren a ent and he said if its a web not his dept. How are you doing today?
