Hi guys

I was talking 50mg Sertraline and 50 quetiapine for insomnia for a year and half now. 5 months ago I stopped Sertraline slowly without problems.

MyvSecond pass now is to reduce quetiapine. Which at the beginning was quite hard to gave up and have a good sleep pattern. I want to say I am stopping now quetiapine from 50 to 25mg.

For many people who has traing to reduce or withdrawal any medication i have a piece of advice.

The first thing is to be happy and good with yourself, second be well with your family and friends.

I had no problem with coming off quietapine, I was admitted to the psychy ward where they tapered off the quietapine and introduced clozapine. I was lucky that I had no real withdrawl symptoms. Always better to slowly wean off one while starting another med. The clozapine is a different subject altogether. It has very serious sedating side effects and weekly blood tests required. I'm told it is one of the best anti psychotic but rarely prescribed due to the side effects. I was on modecate years ago and had to stop because of the chronic tiredness. Clozapine is even worse for sedation. It's weird at the weekly clozapine clinic where others have been on it for longer than me and they all have their heads down, fighting off the tiredness.

    Good luck Ruffy!

I had no real dramas coming off Quietiapine either - did it slowly but no terrible side effects.
