Strange sleeping disorder

hey guys ive been having a very strange ongoing issue and havent been able to see a doctor. I could not find any information online regarding my issue and dont know where else to turn and am hoping this community can help me get an idea of whats going on.

For the last few nights ive been waking up in a strange and painful position. No matter which position i sleep in, on my back or my side, pillow between my legs or pillow elevating my legs, i wake up in like a butterfly position with both knees extended as far as it can outward and the bottoms of both feet touching. im likely in this position for so long that when i wake up, i cannot move on my own because it was extended for so long, it feels stuck and is painful. I have to use both my hands to force my legs closed because its so painful.

even if i wake up and fix this position, it will happen again when i fall back asleep. does anyone have a clue what is causing this?
