Success stories/good life with chronic pancreatitis

Dear All,

I would like to hear success stories from persons living with chronic pancreatitis!

Let me note: PLEASE, if you had one attack and you have healed, don't write. I would like to hear stories ONLY from people who have chronic pancreatitis.

Please describe that that when have you been diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis. Describe your experience.

What i mean by success story is that you can work, live an active life, you can take your family on trips/vacations..etc.

I am looking forward to hear your stories.

    hi there

im a 33 year old female, diagnosed with idiopathic chronic pancreatitis at 3 years old for which i underwent a pancreaticojejunostomy procedure for the same year. being diagnosed in the early 90s, my parents were told not to expect much in terms of me, achieving academically or having a normal life. I'm pleased, however, to say that I have a full-time job, employed as a nurse, two wonderful children and I’m able to live a pretty normal life. I continue to have flareups, which can be challenging, but in short i would say I'm a success story!
