Superficial thrombophlebitis

I have just discovered a very small hard lump on a vein, near to the site where I had a cannula inserted 10 days ago. The site itself is still tender but the lump, which is about an inch away is not. It is not visible in any way, I found it by chance. From what I have seen this is likely to be a clot in a superficial vein which in itself is not normally a problem, but I am due to fly (2 and a half hours) on Friday and back again on Monday...is this dangerous? I have put it in the DVT forum as it seems the closest.
