1st you need to slow down your mind. The biggest thing about panic attacks is we work ourselves up in to them by letting our mind run rampid with all the omg territory stuff like if I pick door #1 will it be door # 2 omg what to do. Just pick 1. but thats easier said then done. Idk & omg situations are our biggest panic causing issue. On the bright side there are so few things in life that are truly fatal & everything that is not only can make us stronger. When you. lay down to go to sleep try telling yourself "I will not dream of puppies.'' Say this to yourself over & over till you fall asleep. It will keep your mind to busy to panic & I bet you wont have dreams of anything other than puppies because that will be the last thong to run through your head as you fall asleep. Little secret: its what I do & it has worked for 5 years & counting

hi sl, i definitely know what is triggering these panic attacks but even so i agree that they are very frightening! i do see a specialist counsellor who i will be speaking to. it's what i'm seeing that's making this much worse, she needs to deal with this or tell me how! i have given in and put a pillow mist on my pillow, which helped last night i just crashed out. i had to do something i hadn't slept for nights!!!! you're advice is what i could have done with days back. thank you.
