Thigh Pain

Can anyone please help?

I have been diagnosed as having osteopenia (pelvis ,following a fracture)and osteoporosis (spine). I am 58 yes old and have taken Risedronate only twice but now cannot sleep at night for left thigh pain. Is this normal considering I've taken only 2 doses of the medication? I'm baffled and upset if this is my new norm 🥺

Thank you for any advice you may have.

I've just replied in more detail to your question on Kathleen's thread. Never having taken an OP meds I can't say if this reaction is the norm, but I have often read of people experiencing pain after taking a bone medication so it seems to be a fairly common side effect, and one that can lead to patients discontinuing the treatment. My other answer has more details.
