Three year headache and migraines just getting worst - please read

Constant daily headaches that do sometimes turn into migraines. My headaches started around three years ago but would only occur about two to three times a week. As time went on they started to get more and more frequent until the 25th of August 2015 I had a major migraine that lasted 3 days even went to the doctor got pain injections and tablets that made me sleep most of the time – since than the pain in my head has not left me. The weird thing is this pain I can pin point where the pain and pressure is and even if I get a “normal” headache and I take my tablet I can feel the relieve of that from the normal headache but this pain that is causing the migraines to come and go is just not going away anymore does not matter what medication I take not even the injections work anymore – my memory is going I keep on walking into things and feel that my body is getting weaker.  I use to be a clever person, now I struggle with the stupidest things.  I only take my anti depressed as being in pain is causing me to feel depress.  I don’t even want to take the pain medicine unless I need to be able to take care of something as it only brings partial relieve.  I come to work every day and try my best as I need this job but honestly don’t know how long I can still hold on.  I wear a gum guard at night and have to take sleeping tablets as the pain won’t let me sleep. The one new thing I have discovered is that that is a point at the top off the back of my head that is very sensitive and if I lie on it or press on it my migraine increase 10 folds, I don’t know anymore – I am a wife and a mother of two young boys that need me – I need my live back – please help

I've had headaches for almost 2 years now. They are now constant and daily. Wake up with them. Have them all day. Go to bed. Just one on going headache that I have. I've been to chiropractors. Neurologists. Doctors. You name it. I spend about 5+ hours each morning just researching on my own because nobody can help me. I finally figured out it is most likely my misaligned bite/jaw as my symptoms are like yours. Back of the head. Go into my beck. My ear has pressure built up that pops and un pops 24/7 ( this is recent) I went to my dentist and he said I check every box for people who need a NTI-tss splint. I thought he was crazy but if you look up the splint, the creator dr Boyd has a book he made about it after he suffered from headaches for 12 years. I'm getting one in about a month. Sounds so crazy but after reading all the chapters about it I believe it will fix me. I encourage you to look it up.

Hi. It sounds very much to me that you have something called Sphenoid Sinusitus. It's much different than normal sinus issues. The main symptoms are bad headaches that just won't seem to go away, head pain sometimes on the top or back, pressure feeling that gets worse when bending or leaning forward. I had this problem for nearly 2 years, like you I kept going but life was so depressing as I was always in pain, dizzy etc.

I had a CT scan which was deemed normal but did show small signs of infection in the drainage pathway of the sphenoid sinus cavity (It's the cavity right in the centre of your head behind the bridge of the nose and behind the eyes).

I urge you to check this out, an Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) specialist will be able to help.

I eventually had sinus surgery to open up the sphenoid sinus cavity and feel much better because of it. I'm not 100% but I can function normally now. I think I may also have a sinus problem in the ethmoid sinuses so may eventually try and get that sorted out.

    All the best.
