Wisdom teeth removal and abscess

hi everyone, I had 3 wisdom teeth pulled two lowers and one upper (right) long story short, my face swelled really bad and I ended up I a&e they did a i&d in my mouth iv antibiotics and I stayed in for 5 days, I'm on antibiotics amoxicillian and metronidazole the course finishes in 2 days, my face is still in agony and I can't open my mouth very wide, no one is really telling me what is normal to feel after this procedure. I've just been told to use mouth wash and keep it clean. the swelling has dramatically gone down and it does feel better but with my jaw still not opening properly and pain still in there, I'm not sure what is normal. the dentist said it looks like it's healing as it should but when should I be able to open my mouth without pain? when does the pain go away. its making me really down in the dumps. any advice appreciated thanks
