Withdraw from co codamol

I really hope i have come to the right place. After being prescribed cocodamol, I suddenly realised i couldn’t get off them.

After my pain subsided I stopped and got the worst feelings ever the next day,

I take 2 tabs three times a day. And am constantly bloated and feel i am twice the size.  Has anyone got any proven solutions on how to come off this? Anything at all that helps?

What your feeling is withdrawls! I know i've been there and it's not pleasant one bit! lots go cold turkey but its not nice as you start getting sleepless night, restless legs vomiting the runs and feeling like crap! What i did was to see a specialist In drug addiction and was put on Suboxone it stops all withdrawals and reverses the effects of codeine within 15 mins it was amazing. It has buprenorphine and naloxone in it! buprenorphine stops the withdrawals and naloxone stops opiates from binding to the receptors so you cannot get high from and opiate whether its heroin or codeine!

I also saw a doctor who put me on valium for short term use for the sleep and muscle cramps

I recommend seeing someone if you can because there very little that can be done by yourself for withdrawals other then to just except it and go thru about a month off uncomfortable times!

goodluck and let us know how things are going! At least you have only been taking a small amount compared to others and me.
