Women - do you notice back pain from a slipped disc is worse during your period?

I've got a suspected herniated disc (well, two actually!) after 3 years of mis-diagnosis.

The spinal specialist is 99% certain that's what is wrong but has booked an MRI to check and make sure they've got the location right.

I've been noticing that during my period my back pain gets probably around 3 times worse... It becomes more continuous and no usual methods of relief seem to work other than very strong painkillers.

I'm certain that my menstrual cycle makes the slipped disc/back pain worse as it's really evident to see patterns. Yet when you research it there's absolutely no data that suggests that it does, and plenty of male GPs saying that menstrual cycles do not impact symptoms coming from a slipped disc.

I just want to know if any other women experience this, and whether you find anything that actually helps?
