Worried Iv got anal/colon cancer after GP appointment

Hi I'm a 33 year old female and I'm looking for some advice/reassurance. About 5 months ago I came down with a really bad d&v bug, The sickness only lasted 24 hours but the diarrhoea lasted quite a few days. Anyway....my anxiety/panic attacks came back full force and I was going to the toilet to empty my bowels 5-6 times a day, my bum got really sore because of this. I started bleeding bright red blood and it was a lot! Thought maybe piles. Anyway after 5 days it calmed down and bleeding stopped. I went to gp and had an internal examination and blood test for anaemia. She said nothing on examination just a few piles. Bloods came back and said red blood cells were fine but stores were a little low.

Since then the bleeding has come back twice and Iv been having a lot of gurgling loudly in my tummy. Sometimes my poo floats too. I was put on anxiety medication which I thought was what was causing my upset tummy as I also lost my appetite and was dry heaving in a morning until the meds settled and felt better. Meds were increased and same thing happened again with my tummy etc.

Anyway....the meds settled again although through this time I had a constant nervous tummy and thought that was why I was having soft stools etc. Iv lost 2 and a half stone in 5 months but was thinking that was due to my loss of appetite as it was virtually zero! Went back to GP yesterday to be examined and he said you've got some piles but also a warty flesh that's not a pile. I asked if it was cancer and he said I don't think so but I can't be sure. Whatever it is needs removing. My anxiety went in to overdrive and now I'm panicking. He rushed it through as urgent and I'm seeing a bowel specialist on Monday. Iv also found a small pea sized lump in my left groin so I'm worried that it is cancer and it's spread to my lymph nodes! 😭 The blood isn't in my stool but comes out after Iv opened my bowels. Mostly when I wipe.

Recently Iv had a lot of bloods done and a chest X-ray and they all came back fine but I know it doesn't always pick stuff like that up. I'm so frightened x

Wait until you've seen a bowel specialist and try not to imagine what is wrong.

It may not be as bad as you think.

Let us know what your diagnosis is.

    Good Luck-

    Susan

Thank you Susan. My anxiety makes me think the worst. I'm alone with my thoughts and it's frightening. I suffer from health anxiety 😔

Just can't think what else it could be? If it's not a pile x
