hi i dont know if anyone can help, very confused with my results. Hb >165 pre venesction, Hct has been at its highest .50, epo low, still awaiting axon 12 mutation yet JAK2 negative. bone marrow showed low cellularity for my age yet no other changes. it all seems very contradicatary. could this still be primary pv? 

venesection helps remarkably but yet week 4 i feel horrendous. tired, itchy and getting rather grumpy with it all! not due for another cons app for????

    Hi Angela it could be secondary Pv.  Your hematocrit is high.  I believe they want women to be 42, men 47.  What is your platelet count?  Zap

      I have no risk factors for secondary at all and my understanding is that would increase your epo not decrease - it was 2.something

      Plt count was normal
