50 year olds

i am a 51 year old male who as had pf and copd for two years now and im looking for any off a similar age group

    Sorry i missedthe first email Wayne so dis-reguard my reply .....i am now 70 if thats not  too old for you to chat , i had mine for about five years  , but diagnosed 4 years ago , mine has become a pain in the posterior now  because im limited to absolutely nothing .... except  what i want to do  ha ha , i can no longer walk more that 10 ft  with oxygen without gasping for breath, spend every 6 weeks 2 weeks in hospital ,, lets go from there with your reply ....alan

    Hi Wayne 

    58yrs old diagnosed IPF in last year, suffered 2 years before with undiagnosed.

    So far lost over 60% of lungs and needing double lung transplant.

      sorry to hear that im not that bad yet ..im under aintree hospital there very good there  where r u being treated

      Hi Wayne

      Diagnosis and monitoring at The Royal Brompton,& Harefield for future transplant.

      Both hospitals are specialist and have staff that are very different from usual hospitals.

    Hello Wayne im the same age as you 51, and will be 52 in feburary next year, i was diagnosed with Mild copd in Jan 2009 and now 5 years on it is now moderate copd according to the hospital, how are you coping with the disease and what stage are you currently at ?     John

    Hi Wayne! I also have copd and pf. I'm 57. Do you ever have lung pain and a lot of dry coughing? I don't have a pulmonologist and so I do not really know how long I have and am scared! I feel for you, my friend!!! May God bless us!!!

      hi lilannie yes i get lung pain mainly if i over doin things.i dont have the dry cough but do av a cough . i am on a trail for a new drug from the u s a called nintedanib.iv been on it for two week and its just kicking in the side affects i mean . its surpose to slow down the progress off the ipf fingers crossed .im under fazerackly hosp . and dont be scared there are people out there that will help you . chin up and i sure god will be keeping an eye on us fingers crossed
