7 weeks after diagnosis, feeling worse than ever

Hello all,

I was diagnosed with Covid in mid-August 2021. Overall, I had a fairly easy go of it. It took me a little over 3 weeks to test negative ( I only know this because my place of employment required me to submit a negative test to return to work). Anyway, while I was positive with the virus, my main symptoms were coughing fits, low-grade fever, fatigue, and feelings of anxiety.

Fast forward to now, I'm feeling absolutely horrible. I've had a headache around my left eyebrow/temple area every single day for over a month. Sometimes it's minor and passes quickly, sometimes it's very debilitating and I'm bedridden with a pulsating headache for hours/days. But not a day has gone by where I haven't felt some pressure in my head. Also, occasionally I feel "twitching" in my legs, hands and fingers. Feels almost like I'm going to have an anxiety attack.

If it's not a headache or twitching/anxiety bringing me down, it's extreme fatigue. My appetite is also random. Some days I'm not hungry at all and don't eat all day, other days I'm insatiable and can't stop eating. But I haven't had a 100% good day in months.

Has anyone else had a similar experience? If so, what are you doing to help alleviate these symptoms? I started taking magnesium oxide supplements for the headaches yesterday, hoping that takes effect soon. I also started drinking ginger tea a few days ago which seems to be helping with the anxiousness. Other than that, I spend most of my time laying in bed trying to relax and hoping I feel better... It's not fun.

Any advice someone can offer will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

    Patrick,

Sorry for what you are going through. It sounds terrible and I can certainly relate to some degree.

How are you doing now? Any improvement? Have you changed anything?

Me: 36yo male, good health and no underlying conditions. Positive on 12/02/21 - today is 2/2/22. I have swollen glands, throat pressure, sinus pain, indigestion, and of course anxiety and depression. It is hard as hell man...

Doctor tells me i should be feeling better within a month but i do not have a whole lot of faith in his advice. He mostly just lectured me on the vaccine. I have taken everything under the sun. Vitamins B,C,D, Quercetin, magnesium, etc... Steroids (was a little better when using the 7 day pack), antibiotics, salt rinses, and much more.

Nothing seems to be working and I am praying everyday for relief. Please feel free to reach out directly. I am hoping to develop a new way for long haulers to self diagnose and get real results - mostly through tracking and community.

    best regards,

First, what I have seen several times in my life, and with others, if you have headache around your eyes and in front of your head that does not go away with painkillers, go to the ENT doctor. Even mild sinus infections and problems can give terrible headaches. I remember having that myself. Everything was solved for good by the right drug prescription.

I also have weird symptoms after covid that make my life tough. I used to walk 8 - 10000 steps a day and now rarely reach 4000. Anxiety (almost panic attacks), dizziness, even after just moving my eyes around, more in evening than in the first half of the day, stomach issues, chest pain, heart palpitations. My doc is just scratching his head. Prescribed me minerals, and big dose of vitamin D for 2 months. Going to see other specialists: gastro, and the brainfixer 😃

    HI, Patrick!

I understand you cause I feel so. I was diagnosed with Covid in 31 December 2021/2022. After Covid (in February) I felt so terrible as if my body had "broken".

I had the same symptoms as you + pain in the thoracic area, hair loss.

When I went to the therapist, she said that these were post-COVID symptoms. For some, they flow into pneumonia, and for others, into neuralgia. I got "lucky" with the second one, so I got a prescription to cure my neuralgia. And she said about a headache that you just have to endure it for two months, since you can`t cure it with pills.

So now I continue to take analyzes, go to doctors and help my body recover.

I have also heard that people who got affected by covid this time are having long-lasting effects. We were taking it too lightly but it is still very strong.
