Aching all over, anxiety or perimenopause

Hi everyone my first time on a forum, I am hoping someone will be able to advice me as at moment I feel like I am all alone. Firstly I started feeling unwell about 2 years ago, fatigue has always been a fore front symptom followed by aches and pains all over my body, frequent urination at night mainly, anxiety that is getting worse, headaches which come and go. I use to have regular periods lasting 7 days, but now my periods although still regular only last for 3 days. I use to have night sweats but not anymore and I recently noticed at night I seem to be tensing my muscles a lot which is causing more pain in a morning. I have developed intolerances to certain foods too. I have been to docs several times over last couple years and had loads of blood tests all come back normal, kidney and liver test came back normal, I asked for a hormone test 6 month ago she said it was normal range, I have recently been back to docs because the aches and pains are so bad all over my body that it is severely affecting my everyday life, the doc just looked at me and said we will run some more bloods, he put me on diazepam for anxiety I have only taken 3 tablets and it doesn't seem to be doing anything for the aches and pains which tells me it's not anxiety related. It is the not knowing what is causing it that makes me worry more and more, I am getting to the point were I just want to give up on everything, cause I am so fed up with the pain. Any advice would be really appreciated.

I would definitely make sure your physician checks you for Lyme's Disease. It is received by an infected mosquito and much more common that people believe (Here in MN we have many!). It can cause serious muscle fatigue and left untreated it progressively gets worse. I have a relative that was visiting from California and suffered for years before it was diagnosed. Unfortunately it had gone on so long without treatment that she had permanent effects from it. The treatment is simple, just antiobiotics. The problem is the diagnosis. Good luck!

    Hi sharonyfs

I have replied to you sometime ago...regarding many years ago when i was diagnosed with fibromyalgia but i in fact had type 2 diabetes. You did reply and said you would get yourself checked for T2diabetes. I take it you got checked and you were negative for T2diabetes.

Im replying to you now because for the last 6 months i have had the same pain & symptoms as you. My doc sent my bloods to be checked for inflammation ..this is done via a sedimentary blood test .it turned out i had a lot of inflammation going on in my body and tested border line lupus...but until i can see a rhuematologist to definitely diagnose lupus my doc is treating me for polymyalgia rheumatica (google it). I have been treated for the pain with steroids ..prednisolone and they have taken the pain away...but my doc is slowly reducing the steroid to get down to 2mg per day instead of 15mg which i am taking now..

The pain was dreadful when trying to sleep in shoulders, hips, buttocks, tops of arms and shoulders and thighs. On getting up the pain was dreadful in the morning but eased a bit after about an hour and through the day but came back at night...perhaps you should ask your doc to arrange for a blood inflammation/sedimentary test..if you have not already had one.....hope you get diagnosis soon ......best wishes.....

Im 61. Similar symptoms, very simular. Aching all over, sometimes when its bad I look for one part of my body thats not aching.

Digestion trouble, food allergies, sleep disturbances, spots of pain on body that hurt when touched, aching feet just walking for an hour. Tired very easily. Doctors dont believe in this fibromyalgia.

Stopped eating wheat and milk. That helped. Yoga and swimming helped but weights or strong exercise makes if worse.

    Ibuprofen and NSAID s help.

    Walking and sunshine helps.

If I do strenuous work I do not recover for least two to three days.

Cannot work anymore and doctors dont believe as blood tests are fine. Well expect for an allergy test that blew out. But cannot find out what I am really allergic too.

I cope, sort of, good days and bad.
