Does anybody know why over 55/60 can have the AstraZeneca injection in countries concerned with blood clots? Can they not get blood clots?

This is because the risk of dying with covid is very high in older age groups making the risk of blood clots insignificant in comparison. With younger people the risk of blood clots is still very small but the risk/benefit balance is different.
