Broken hand didn't heal while in cast

I'm 19 and I fractured my pinky's metacarpal on January 23rd and I got my cast removed today (March 1st) and when I got my cast removed and my hand was x-rayed, the bone didn't mend or heal at all and when my doctor pressed on it, it didn't really hurt. It only really hurt from me trying to move my hand and work on the stiffness and my doctors thought I was doing pretty good so she just put me in a brace and buddy taped my fingers. What are some reasons for it not healing correctly and what can I do to get my bone to mend together?

    Those are questions you should have asked your doctor. And I would contact him and ask him. I would be concerned about it not healing. I don't know much about broken bones but it would seem to me that he's being rather cavalier about a bone that didn't heal. I would certainly be questioning him

    Please see another doc and ask the questions you asked here. Unless you were to active or fell I cannot see why the bone did not heal. Ask about a bone graft and it could cause arthritis later on in life.
