Cardiac sarcoidosis

Is there anyone who has complete heartblock due to sarcoidosis? I would love to hear from you.

    Hi Mary a year before I was diagnosed with sarcoidosis I had episodes of ventricular standstill for about 3 seconds at a time . It came to light as I was fitted with a reveal monitor for episodes of fainting I was having . I was then fitted with a pacemaker and late last year finally diagnosed with this disease. The specialist thinks sarcoidosis had caused the standstill but no signs of it now . I'm on steroids to clear my lungs. Also had vacant spells where possibly seizures from sarcoidosis.

      Hi Monica,  it sounds like what was happening to me. My heart has been damaged because of the sarco. Until one and a half years ago I was very healthy and never took any medecine. Now it is another story and it is very difficult to come to terms with the change in lifestyle. Are you on prednison or metrotexaat or any other medicine and have you had a pet scan to see if the sarco has cleared up?
