Chronic pain and fatigue

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 11 months ago nd have been on multiple medications nothing has helped yet with the pain. I also have chronic migraines. Now for about the past week I can't eat I am so nauseated and when I do I just end up vomiting. I also have fatigue so bad that I can't stay awake for more than 2 or 3 hours before I'm completely drained. Does any body have an idea what could be going on? I don't know if I have the wrong diagnoses but this is a complete nightmare.

So sorry to hear of your distress. I'm not sure if your doctor has told you, but fibromyalgia pain is not treatable. What I am trying to say is, there are no pain killers (analgesia), that will affect fibromyalgia pain. However, is one of your medications either LYRICA (pregabalin), or NEURONTIN (gabapentin)? They are excellent for nerve pain. Initially, they make you very sleepy, but in a short time, you will get used to them, & the sleepiness will pass.
Hope this has
as for your headaches, I suffer with Migraine, which is usually triggered by dehydration. As soon as I drink a glass or two of water, it slowly disappears. If not, then I take MERSYNDOL, an over the counter medication. If it's really bad, & I start feeling nauseous, then I take 3 tablets, but be WARNED, Mersyndol contains 500mg of Paracetamol, so you should never exceed 8 tablets in 24 hours. The part of Mersyndol that calms your headache is an antihistamine called doxylamine succinate. It's excellent.
Hope this helps!

It sounds as if you have Polymyalgia Rheumatica....it is similar to Fibromyalgia.....but PMR causes extreme fatigue and if you are getting bad headaches with PMR it could be you are presenting with GCA..Giant Cell Arteritis which affects the arteries in your head and can be dangerous as it can cause sight loss...Did your doc carry out an ESR test for inflammation in your body...if no then i suggest you go back asap and ask for an ESR blood test to be carried out along with a CRP blood test and ANA blood test if all levels are high then you have inflammation in your body which needs to be treated especially with the headaches...tell doc about the extreme fatique and headaches.....best wishes..keep us posted....

I have to second Lilian diagnosis. I have PMR and your symptoms sound similar. The only thing I might add is that the disease typically hit older people typically 50 or older. It can effect younger people but it's much more rare and you'll have trouble convincing a Dr that that is what's wrong. But you should defiantly get the blood work to check your sed rate and C-reactive protein. Although the true test is to take a weeks worth of prednisone (at least 15mg) and see if your symptoms improve.
