Covid for 4 weeks & still bed ridden. Anyone else had prolonged severe illness without hospitalization

Hi,
I've had Covid19 for 4 weeks and if I had the energy I'd be tearing my hair out.
I've had 2 sets of prohylactic antibiotics to safeguard against bacterial infections, my temperature has been up and down but never higher than 38 the entire illness.
I've had severe neuropathy during the illness and some kind of night seizures accompanying the other more well publicised symptoms that mean my sleep is terrible also.
I went to hospital Day 14 after a week of seriously thinking I'm on death's door and my blood oxygen was good enough to be sent home for follow up at the Covid Hubs where they basically just take temperature, pulse and oxygen levels.
I was prescribed a 2nd course of antibiotics there as my temperature was still up and they are checking in on me every few days.
Meanwhile I am having one better day, then another terrible day, then a better day then a worse day..But 'better' is still bed ridden, just means I can breath well enough and not too dizzy to make myself my own cup of tea, have a shower and engage in some small talk with my family.
Everytime I have a good few hours I think, that must be me getting well now, but no, 4 weeks later and the last 24 hrs my breathlessness has been worse than it was for the previous 5 days..Am about ready to shoot myself.
Is there anyone else that's experienced being so ill with this virus outside of an ICU setting where it's carried on this long?
Even ICU patients are recovering in 3-6weeks .
Cannot understand why I'm not getting well yet.
I have no underlying health issues and I'm in my 30s.
I don't know if I still have Covid or if this is post viral inflammation and fatigue..There is no way of knowing as they are not testing community cases. Every doctor just says it's definitely Covid but I have no idea if I've passed the peak of the illness or if i should still be worried it could get worse.
Just feel it's going on forever.
Be great to know if there's any non hospital stories of people being sick, as in still unable to do a thing this length of time.
Thanks!

I was home bound for 4 weeks , then I developed Pneumonia spent 4 days in the hospital got pumped full of antivirals and antibiotics, and was on o2. Most important thing is to monitor you blood O2 levels, if it falls to much you need to go to a doctor or hospital. glad i did , it took me a month and a half to get back to normal breathing

About 4 months ago I had covid along with my partner . Myself and my partner both experienced the same symptoms no energy, cold one minute, hot the next, a bad cough, breathless and no taste or smell. Was a weird feeling. What made it worse was feeling disoriented like i was on a boat out at sea. Was like walking forward 1 step and falling back 2 steps.
Before I got covid i read somewhere that Zinc helped and Vitamin C & D so I made sure to buy some incase we got covid . After 2 weeks of taking Zinc and Vitamin C&D myself and partner were ok.

wife has had this for19 weeks after a positive covid test. Has all the symptoms apart from breathing problems. GP has been useless. Long term covid clinic has not responded. Her major issue is nausea and initially diarrhea but now severe stomach issues. After 12-14 weeks and much insisting she has had a endoscope that has identified an issue but GP was quite dismissive. CAT scan has found clots in lungs! ' this is being treated. Hospital not interested - cannot get a referral. Visit to A&E resulted in no interest apart from comment "what do you expect us to do". The government covid recovery doc is useless as it only covers respiratory issues. covid appears to have major impact on gastro issues but no one seems to care. The local ccgs issue guidance to GPS that gastro issues should be referred in 4-6.weeks. This is a joke. Once they have emptied the cookie jar of drugs they seem to give up.
Currently wife has shakes, palpitations struggles to get out of a chair brain fogging cannot eat, taste issues and the gastro problems. It took about 12 weeks and much anger before a GP actually took a look at he stomach - not even a video call! Please don't let the medicall professionals fob you off with "do you need mental help" This is also a symptom but not the cause of all these issues. currently we have given up but I would like to know where the £24m for long term clinics has gone?. Good luck with your recovery.

Thanks
She continues to feel terrible and spends much of the time having to lie down. Now 21 weeks and probably worse now than when she was 1st confirmed positive. Have given up with medical professionals perhaps they think it will just go away. We think they just don't believe it.
Have you now fully recovered or are you still suffering. Hope things are getting better. I think the lucky ones end up in hospital for a short while - at least they will be treated. The rest seem to be left alone to get on with it.

Yeah this happens usually, I am from India and found this case in my family too, my dad has suffered from covid and he took almost around 2 months to completely get out of it. Might be he has type 2 diabetes so it took time.

Sorry about your reaction to covid. It's such a weird and scary illness. Practically my entire family has had it and my mom who is 84 had to go to the hospital for oxygen, steroid treatment and blood thinners and was in and out three times. All I can say is hang in there and try to move as much as you can even though your body says no. Try...you must try to get out of bed and outside in the sun if you can. If you don't you immune system will continue to struggle with the virus. My Mom started slow with very short walks and gradually over a week or two she finally came out of it and is back 100% after about 7 weeks of nasty symptoms. Even better than me who still has some annoying lingering symptoms.

I am really sorry that you are suffering from Covid for so long time.
In order to recover, I would recommend you consider food supplements treatment I can provide you.
Please what do you think ?

when i (pressume i) had covid in march 2020 i was ill for months, started with sore throat and cough then after a while my chest was crackling every breath i took in and out, couldn't breath properly of a night and 1st thing in the morning. Kept ringing 111 but they said as long as i can use my phone and the tv there's nothing they can do. This was before they had test kits to check. after a month i started to get over the crackly chest and breathing was a bit better then was hit with a pressure in my chest that came on even with the tiniest bit of exurtion, no pain just a pressure. Still get that now and its nearly 2 years later although admittedely not as often but its there. Was told over a year ago they were going to open some long Covid clinics but have heard nothing since

Hi
Day (yes..) 4 bedridden here, exact symptoms as the first 2 posts.
Was searching to see how long until recovery could be hoped for and shocked at everyone's situation.
For myself not been to the doctors as have a long history of viral issues (numonia, viral encephalitis) so thought I should be patient and wait but now think that may be the wrong course of action.
Any further input appreciated, thanks for your time.
Be well

Im six months post COVID 19 and IM still suffering from REALLY bad breathing problems chest pain, brain fog , my body feel sore everywhere I touch it.
I never had health problems besides sinusitis. I did have nose surgery 10 days prior to getting COVID , so my nose didn't get a chance to heal on its only before this horrible virus attacked me. what i got was a bad case of pneumonia, plural infusion and inflammation of my bronchiolar tube. I was very health exercised regular never lost my breath doing any cert of exercise without recovery shortly after. DRS put me on 3 different inhalers with zero relief allergy medicines acid reflex been treat few times with steriods, with almost zero improvement. i decide to look for a second opinion pulmonologist after seeing 2 at Kaiser who say i will get better over time not to worry. SO in the mean time i cant breath and have pain 24/7 on left side that diesnt go away with pain medicine. I cant function with my normal life style. I was going through-a bad case of depression but i have been put on medication for it now too. The outside opinion Dr said that i need to have further testing to find out what is affecting me because. That they can perform a broncsopy to do a biopsy to run test to see what infection virus/or bacterial
might me causing the problems. I'm now sensitive to everything like perfumes candles etc, before nothing botherd me. fast acting inhaler doesnt help me. Kaiser dr mentioned he thinks its something besides covid but hasn't tried to help figure it out. HE thinks i can go back to work like this, when I struggle all day.
