Covid vaccine and thyroiditis or hyperthyroid onset

Posted , 2 users are following.

About a week after my first vaccine shot (pfizer), i developed flu-like symptoms. Sweats, palpitations, exhaustion, shakes, trembling, weakness, severe diarrhea etc. After a week or so, I went to my doctor and we ran blood and stool tests.

I have now been told that my thyroid function is over producing hormones. He called it a hyperthyroid or thyroditis. I swear its due to the covid vaccine, but he assured me it wasn't. I have done some online reading and it seems that i am not alone.

Anyone else having the same issues. I'm terrified that my doctor brushed it off, and wouldnt give me a medical exemption for my second shot, and now I feel like I should have known better.

Post covid vaccine thyroid issues. Anyone else? Thanks

I just went to my endo today and my tsh blood work came back low which means its also putting out too much hormones. I go for a biopsy tomorrow as I have already had problems with hyperthyroidism in the past and have a nodule but all of that had been controlled. I had my second does of moderna 2 weeks ago and I was diagnosed with covid August 5th so Im five or so weeks past that. I have had fast heart rate, tremors, and other neurological issues since the shot or covid dont know which one is to blame but we know Covid will get the blame for everything. I understand that a virus can effect people differently but a lot of us post covid have the same symptoms and the shot is the only thing that ties most of us together. Regardless, I hope these posts give people some peace of mind that so many others are experiencing similar things.
