Dexilant

I was diagnosed with GERD 13 years ago, and have been on dexilant for the last 5-7 years. My prescription drug insurance kicked me off of dexilant (60 mg) due to its exorbitant price. When advised, my primary physician prescribed pantoprazole (40 mg) as a substitute, but after one week of use, it is not working as desired, with severe GERD returning.

Does anyone know of a suitable substitute for dexilant that can treat and relieve severe GERD? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
