Dizziness/Lightheadedness has me feeling FRUSTRATED

Posted , 3 users are following.

Im newly diagnosed with sarcoidosis but ongoing intermittent symptoms for approx 4 years. Ive recently had 2 surgeries this month and for the last several days, today in particular, I set out to do all the chores building up around the house and Im having to stop and take breaks every 10 minutes because I start getting light headed and dizzy. Not so much shortness of breath but it is present. My breathing test wasn't anything to be concerned over. However, Im an active person, particularly in powerlifting. I haven't gone to the gym in a month but towards the tail end I would become severely lightheaded and out of breath after my lifts. Do any of you experience this and if so how do you work through it? Im getting ansy and feeling hopeless.

Thinking of you. What kind of surgeries?I am mostly wheezing coughing tight chest and some phelghm a little bit of yellow. I see a specialist Friday for answers. Perhaps talk to your gp or specialist. Rest up. Pick one task then rest for 20 min. Stay strong.

I had my lung biopsy done on the 4th, which a few days later is when they told me they found granulomas in my right lung and settled with sarcoidosis. On the 10th I had a diagnostic laparoscopy for endometriosis. They found nothing. Pulmonologist and Rheumatologist suspect its spread to my eyes (chronic uveitis), sinuses (chronic sinusitis unresponsive to antibiotics), and into my abdominal region. These surgeries really p****d my body off so im constantly dizzy, getting vertigo, car sick. Good luck hopefully you get answers!

Hello hang in there😊 You seeing a specialist? How did they diagnose sarcoid? And where do you have it? I have it in my lungs and follow up with pulmonary tests and see my lung specialist that knows sarcoidosis... no change in my sarcoid at the moment and I'm not on medication. I did change my diet and try and eat lots of anti inflammatory foods. Definitely find a doctor who knows about sarcoidosissmile let me know how your doing

Just wondering how long you have been diagnosed? Do you feel changing your diet has helped. When you say no change does mean  not worse or better?  Hope my question makes sense.

Hi Hoc01!... been over 2 years and no change with sarcoid in my lungs. It's there, I have completed many pulmonary tests and did well with them. My lung doctor has me do follow ups to make sure lungs haven't changed. I feel better changing my diet and think anyone would, I definitely add many anti inflammatory foods such as blue berries I eat them like no tomorrow haha! I've cut back on alcohol, fried foods synthetic sweeteners, and getting better sleep also definitely work on any kind of stress!... do you have sarcoidosis? Let me know how you're doing 😊

Thanks for this information. I plan to also change my diet. I already it lots of fruit and most veggies .  Thought I would try more though and the right ones. May cut out coffee. 😠 Not official confirmed I have it. From my ct scan that is what they think. Not always the best sleeper so I will work on this. I will keep you posted.

My pulmonologist seems to be quite familiar with the process of diagnosing how advanced the disease is and he is on top of it, communicating with my rheumatologist. They diagnosed me through a lung biopsy and suspect its spread to my lungs, sinuses, abdominal region, and eyes. Also I get crazy rashes on my face.

They want to start me on 40mg of Prednisone after I get my sinus biopsy but Im trying the less side effect ladened route and Im currently taking these supplements in capsule form:

      Aloe vera

      Tumeric

      Spirulina

      Dandelion root

      Marshmallow root

      Probiotic

      Fish oil

      St Johns Wort

Its definitely getting worse. They put me on a Prednisone taper back in July and when i finished my symptoms flared up and the surgeries aren't helping. Did you add or cut anything out of your diet in particular?
