Esomeporazole terrible symptoms

I've been using Lanzoprazole (30mg)since November and as I was having breakthrough symptoms (fairly mild), I was switched to Esomeporazole 5 days ago. Since taking Esomeporazole, I have felt severely unwell and ended up in A&E with chest pains, palpitations and sweating. In A&E they said my heart was fine but that was all tested when I had calmed down. When I am having an episode, my resting heart rate can go up to 130 bpm. I also have an over medicated thyroid at the moment so some symptoms could be attributed to that but those symptoms were relatively mild and really ramped up the day I started Esomeporazole.

My queries are:

Has anyone experienced similar?

I am not taking any more Esomeporazole from today as I cannot tolerate it. I am due to see my Dr soon but in the meantime, would you either take no PPI at all? Or would you revert back to lansoprazole until speaking with Dr? I guess I am worried to take nothing at all.
