Famotidine causing stomach pain and nausea??

So I've been suspicious of either having LPR or my hiatal hernia causing problems. I don't get heartburn and indigestion, but I have a lot of throat problems. Post nasal drip, excess mucus in my throat, slight burning in the back of my throat, coughing, sore throats, a lot of throat clearing, trouble burping which makes me gag, and random gagging.

I can't take PPI's, they make me incredibly sick and lower my stomach acid to the point I'm unable to digest meat and dairy.

I've been taking 10mg of Pepcid Complete, the chewable, for a couple weeks now. One at bedtime and if I start gagging during the day, I take one more. They've been helping my symptoms. Until now. Now whenever I take one, my stomach will hurt really bad and I get nauseous. This happened before with PPI's which is how I found out I can't take them.

Has this happened to anyone else?? I'll be switching to Mylanta now to see if the stomach pain and nausea stops.
