As well as the spirometry test (which I'm sill waiting for) isn't there a blood test that assesses blood oxygen?

He just said last time I spoke to him I'll give u an oxygen test, but there's nothing wrong there I'm sure, I don't smoke never have and March this year I ran half a marathon! I swim bike and horse ride, I've no allergies to food or animals no asthma, but if he needs to strike it off I'll do one, there's a oxygen test where they take it from an artery, the thing with that is if it shows I have too much oxygen it's obviously because I've nothing wrong with my heart and lungs! Just too many red blood cells xx

I have had a couple of oxygen tests as a result of suffering pulmonary embolisms in 2008. They will take blood but the needle will be inserted into an artery rather than a vein. When they took mine, it was from an artery in my wrist. They will then test the oxygen levels in the blood.
