Has anyone got sarcoidosis on their legs??

3 and half years ago the lumps were the size of peas now the size of marbles. I have been told that its part and parcel of the illness and once the steroids are finished they should disappear, however i prob will never be off them because of chronic sarcoid.

My leg over the last few days has been very painful to a point where it stops me from walking and i have to lift it from the ground to stop pressure and i drive for a living so doesnt help.

    Hello

I have it in my legs. I had large red blotches over most of my lower legs. My feet were so sore it took me 1/2 am hour to take my first step. By now I had been diagnosed with sarcoids. Fortunately I responded very well to the steroid and was walking within the week. However it has been life changing. I was 50 at the time of diagnosis and very active. I thought I was invincible. I am now very tired most of the time and force myself to keep going. I have 5 dogs and they have to be walked. I am used to it now and I thank my luck stars that I am not nearly as bad as most of the other sufferers.

The lumps on my legs were bad enough for the specialists to photograph them for future reference.

      Hi terry

Sorry to hear your news but im very glad the steroid worked for you.

I first got it when i was 29 on my lungs. Then came back when i was 32 on my spleen lungs liver and leg. The high dose of steroid did shrink my spleen back down to normal size after been told it had doubled in size so that was great, however the lumps stayed the same.

I did go to low to quick off the steriod and it all came back with vengeance so back on a high dose. I was told it spread through me very quickly so im getting an mri on the 23rd but the lumps are the same.

I dont have red bloches on my leg. They are under my skin down my shin.
