Sorry to hear your suffering so Kirsty..my daughter had a lumber puncture a year ago, she was 24 at the time and she suffered horrendous headaches afterward, but I believe it was due to her being allowed out of bed too early..but she had the headache for well over a week..she has just said to me to encourage you to keep pestering them and try not to worry too much..Beth cut down drastically on salt, didn't drink any more fizzy drinks, like you told to lose weight although I wouldn't say was obese..She is still struggling though with depression and I will say the neurologist hasn't been that helpful, we are in the Norwich area..She has a supportive GP thank God, but to be honest it seems this is a very misunderstood condition and they seem as much at loss on what to advise as we do on what to expect.. She is experiencing what she calls a 'heavy' head..but often not sure if her headaches, feeling of total exhaustion and lack of motivation is due to the condition or fear of the unknown..you are certainly not alone...Beth says don't give up pestering the Doctor...keep in touch if we can help at all..

Our pleasure..been a dark road for us too..felt like I've been losing my daughter..felt so inadequate as never knew how to react to how she was ..this site gave me a glimpse at how it effects the sufferer and their families..please let us know how ur visit goes..Beth is on anti depressants at the moment..something she didn't want to take, but needed something to kick start her into being able to function without withdrawing completely..Will c how that goes..her next eye appointment in a couple of weeks then April she will see neurologist again...this is the most distressing of conditions..all about self help n these forums which is a real crime..bless u n ur little one..hope to see good news, from u tomorrow..
