Intermittent dull ache in left underarm

hi looking for some advice/ reassurance...
for the last 3 or so days ive been getting a strange dull ache in my left underarm. sometimes it feels like its right in my armpit but other times it feels like its more in my arm area. ive had a feel and theres no lumps or swellings and ive felt all in my breasts and no lumps there either. i recently had the contraceptive implant inserted into my left arm but i cant see it being linked to that? i know that i do fall to sleep on my left and i think i tend to stay on that side for the night. does anyone have any experience of anything similar or can anyone gve me any advice other than going to the doctor which im going to do next week if im still having the problem. thanks

Only thing I can think of is lymph nodes, or something having to do with your implant. If it doesn't go away within a week or so, go get it checked!

thanks for the reply, appreciate it.
yes thats all i keep thinking it is my lymph nodes and its frightening me like mad cos ive tried googling it and it just keeps coming up with lymphoma or breast cancer and its sent my anxiety through the roof. ive made a doctors appointment this morning. the pain seems to have subsided a little over the weekend, ive only had a tiny pain on only a couple of occasions over the weekend but im still going to get it checked out. still no obvious lumps which is a good thing i guess

Please keep us informed. Stay calm, there is plenty of time to panic if there is something to panic about!

Mine is my right arm, but similar to you. I can now never sleep on right side; the whole arm will ache so much.
They think it is compressed nerves from the neck. Taking a whole lot of Gabapentin really helps.
However, for you its your LEFT ARM; I would see doctor because the left shows signs from the HEART. get that possibility ruled out. and for Christ's sake, stop sleeping on the troubled arm!

thanks kris11713 for the reply. i didnt manage to make my doctors appointment as i got called into work. the intermittent pain seems to have stopped i think (fingers crossed) i get a very very slight twinge only every now and then but its literally barely noticeable and lasts for like a second if that. i dont feel as concerned about it at the minute but im still keeping a mental diary of any pains/twinges etc. and if they start as bad as they were the other week i'll definitely go back to the doctor. thanks the support guys
