Hi all my specialist has advised my GP that i would/should do well on lidocaine patches.

However he did say it might be hard to get as PCT,s wont pay for it anymore really.

Has anyone had this and if so some advice would be great.

I tried to buy Lidocaine patches that my doctor prescribed but it was so expensive I couldn't afford to fill the prescription. I'm on Medicare so that would only pertain to you if you were on Medicare I don't know what a private insurance would charge but you might look into that before you go to fill it so you won't be in for a big surprise.

I do not think lidocaine patch alone will take care of severe pain. I asked for them to augment my opiate pain medicine. I'm currently trying Aspercreme which has lidocaine in it but it's over the counter so it's a very low dose. And unfortunately as I suspected it's not doing anything. So I just wasted $8. But I'm cheap enough to keep trying it. Lol
