LOCATION OF SPECIALISTS WHO TREAT SARCOIDOSIS IN THE UK

Posted , 12 users are following.

I help run a support and self help group for people exclusively from the UK

I am frequently asked where we can find a doctor who either specialises in, or expresses an interest in sarcoidosis.

Any help in this matter would be appreciated, so I can then post this information on our site

I'm particularly looking for someone in South Wales as a matter of urgency for one of our members.

Thank you

Dave Wright

Have just found this site. I hope you have made some progress as I have sarcoidosis for 10 years now and Salisbury does not have a specialist. All I have been offered is steroids which I refuse to take due to their side effects & my GP agrees they would probably be counter productive.

I see a specialist (Dr. Wickremasinghe) at St. Mary's Hospital, Paddington, London.

    Hi David,

I'm now in a similar position to you were, with a sarcoid help group.

Are you still active in this role or did it not take off?

I was about to register here too.
