Low neutrophill and high lymphocytes after phlebetomy

Hi , I am 17 years male . I have high bp (whitecoat) . At doctor's office my bp is always 160/90 something like that and pulse rate 90-100 even after taking blood pressure medication (Vinicor D 25) . At home my bp remains in between 110-130 / 60--80 and pulse rate in between 60-90 bpm . Echocardiogram , ultrasound of pelvis and abdomen , chest x ray all came back normal . i had blood tests done and it showed elevated rbc (6.94) , Hb of 15.7 , low mch and mchc . Hematocrit incresed from 42 % to 48% in a period of 4 months . So my doctor referred me to a hematologist and hematologist ordered for jak 2 mutation and serum epo test . Jak 2 mutation was not detected and serum epo was 14.60 . The doctor put me on aspirin 150 mg and advised phlebetomy . I had phlebetomy a week ago . my bp has come down even at doctor's office (130/90 was a bit nervous there as my pulse rate was 110 bpm .) . Now i had blood tests , all reports are normal expect that neutrophil is 39% , lymphocyte is 51% , monocyte is 1% , eosinophill is 07% . These things were absolutely normal before phlebetomy .Is there something to worry ? after phlebetomy my hb is 13.4 , rbc count is4.46 , hematocrit is 40% , mch , mchc are within the range . Do i need any more phlebetomy ? Is aspirin needed ?

I am not a doctor but I don't think you have to worry about these.

I had my lymphochytes 50,3 and neutrophiles 40,8 three months ago, I repeated them 2 weeks ago and they were almost the same and after 1 week I repeated them again and they were fine. Anyway I was to the doctor and he told me is probably a viral or bacterial infection which sometimes pass without medication and so happened in my case.

I dont think you need more phlebotomy because your haemoglobin, rbc and hematocrit are fine now but as I said I am not a doctor.

    Best wishes!

I agree with Andrew. Your numbers look fine now. I'm not a dr. Either but you probably had a viral infection. I think that's too much aspirin. Pvers take 81 mg a day. All that aspirin could mess up your stomach.

    Hi,

How are you now? Is your lymphocyte subsided as I am dealing with similar health issue. It will be good to get an update from you.
