Medical alert jewelry

it has come to my attention because of the rareness of our disease, all MPNs, that we should consider wearing a medical bracelet or necklace tag stating  our disease, meds were on and our risk of stroke & heart attack.  The medical community is very clueless of our disease, and should we get into trouble, this would help them to help us.  Does anyone on this line wear one?  Just a thought.  Zapy

Hi Zapamania. Yes, I thought about it. It could come in handy especially when travelling. Even when I visit my family in Canada, I don't think any of them know what meds I take. I think I will get a bracelet and also put the two meds I need on the bracelet.

Hi Harriet from the ones I've seen, you put your ailment Pv, et, then your meds, HU, Jakafi bp meds, then ice (phone # in case of emergency).& your name.  They can engrave all that on a tag (stainless steel) that you can wear on a bracelet or necklace.  It makes sense to me.  I fell on the sidewalk last week, tripped on my flip flops. I'm just scraped up & bruised, but I was alone and thought later on what if I hit my head and went unconscious? Better safe than sorry.  Linda
