Moderna vaccine

Hi all.

I had my 1st dose of the Moderna vaccine on 08/05. No major symptoms just a sore arm for 2 or 3 days.

On Friday (6 days later) I noticed a small tender spot at the top of my shoulder and a very small bump which I assumed was a infracavicular lymph node. (cue health anxiety kicking in and econsult to the doctor) by the Monday (9 days after) I felt another small lymph node above my collar bone and on Monday night noticed a large red raised patch which was tender around the injection site.

I have seen the doc who believes the red patch is a late reaction to the vaccine and the lower lymph node he says he believes is a tendon not a node. He said he will refer me for a scan on the other node just to make sure.

Did anyone else get enlarged lymph nodes after their vaccine, more than a week later?

Also, I'm not so sure there is a tendon below the collarbone so that's freaking me out too!!!

thank you for your report! it happened to me, too . how are you now?

had the 1st moderna on 22.05. in the beginning mild symptoms like fatigue, dizziness, painful arm and neck, chills, coming and going, like feeling good one day and bad again the next day for a week. after 6 days i felt pain in my neck on the side of vaccination while yawning, almost like a cramp. when i felt there I noticed a big painfully swollen lymphnode in the lower side oft my neck and one a little smaller at my collarbone, right where the tendon is. when i move my shoulder while feeling for the node it is easier to feel it pop up from the tendon. in the following week i had headaches every day. the next week still swollen nodes, not painful. today is 10.06. i still have the swollen nodes and they hurt again and my neck feels uncomfortable, the chest area towards the armpit was itchy for the past few days and feels a little swollen now, too. i will wait one more week, but then i also want to see a doctor about it before i would get the second shot.

I'm female, 35 , years. hope this was helpful for others, too.

hello! sorry to hear youve experienced similar after your vaccine. its been 5 weeks since mine and my lymph nodes are still enlarged. haven't received a scan date yet but hoping it won't be much longer. its probably worth you going to your doc and getting checked over just for peace of mind x
