Numbness and pain?!

Posted , 3 users are following.

For the last few days I've been experiencing a numb feeling that starts in my lower abdomen near my ovaries and goes round to my back and down my legs! I get some sharp pains aswell and a tingly feeling.

Today it has got a lot worse and I'm a bit short of breath with higher back pain, I don't know what to do, any ideas what this could be? Or what I should do? Does it sound more urjant than just booking a doctors appointment?

Thanks smile

    Hi

I think the first thing I'd do is ring NHS direct on 111, you will be able to talk to a professional and give them your symptoms and they will provide you with advice, I've rung them a few times with different things and they have always been very helpful.

If they believe you need medical assistance they will either advise you to go to your nearest clinic or if your very poorly they send a paramedic to assess you, I hope this helps, don't sit and worry.

I would never ring NHS direct for anything waste of money and space 999 or walk in or A&E

    Hi Lau188

I agree with Barbara, but if, for any reason, you are not happy with what they say, see your doctor, or even your local Pharmacy for advice.

Its possibly could be a trapped nerve in the lower back as this can sometimes, have an unusual sensation in another part of the body, I know, strange!!!!

I am not saying it is, its just my partner had similar symptoms and it ended up being a mild form of Sciactica.

Try not too worry and please let us know what the problem is once you found out.

    All the best.
