I am still confused over the side effects of taking Omeprazole .The circulation in my feet and ankles is effected as is my skin and nails.
Anyone else had these problems and how did they handle them?

But after antibiotics ,no amount of live youghurt,or Actimel will make up for taking " Fibre dophilus high potency Acidolhilus with fiber ".I get this from Chemist direct.
It also keeps your stools "friendly and regular."
Rentadine is another antiacid,over the counter tablet.In my docs. oppinion not as good as Omeprazole.
I am also very keen on herbal remedies and Homeopathy ,so with one of the side effects I take Apis mel.
I am adviced that Marigold tea is good for our acid stomacks.
Its a mine field this acid problem.But yours sound s like it may have been cause by heliobacter in the onset?

Have been told not to eat dairy, sugar or yeast for a very long time with the Candida. Not sure if H Pylori has caused problem. The timing of it starting was at the time of severe stress in my life. Intersting thing about the H Pylori is that it is very likely it was just coincidal that it was there. According to leaflet I brought home from hospital quote: "Does treating H Pylori make you feel better? less than one in ten with combination of indegestion and H Pylori but who don't have an ulcer will feel better as a result of the treatment. Many doctors consider the disadvantages of taking a course of antibiotics are just not worth the small chance of the treatment helping. " I did notice that a week before my endoscopy I was begining to feel better with the acid reflux and half thought about canceling the endoscopy, this makes me think more that the H Pylori being there was just coincidental. Apparently about 40% of people in UK have it and most don't know it's there. So I could have it for a number of years as most can carry it from childhood according to leaflet.
Having been drinking Marigold tea too, find it very soothing and good.
Having to take Nystatin an anti fungal medicine as well as the antiacid so Nystatin can get past my stomach acid to reach the Candida.

With your conditions it might just produce too much yeast thus not helping your candida.
And I am wondering if I should take something different now my gut flora obviously is restored ? and wether my other side effect is being propelled along with the Fiber D. ?
Is Nystatin over the counter?
I am going to get some Marigold tea...
There is not much, that is worse then problems with the stomach and gut ,as women we have so much more to contend with in the lower departments as well.
It is so helpfull to have this patient uk forum to exchange views on .
