Omeprazole for bad breath

I have just been perscribed omeprazole for a severe case of bad breath. This 'death breath' has been with me for about 5 years (too embaressed to do anything about it!)

But I can't see how this medication is going to help.. I don't suffer from intigestion, no acid reflux and I have an increadibly healthy diet..

Any help with this matter will be great.. My doctor just gave me the tablets and asked me (not very politely) to leave..

Any other idea's/suggestions on the 'death breath' would be greatly received

    I wonder if you have seen a dentist?

    The most likely cause of your bad breath is gum disease.

    hi

    It looks like your doctor thinks your bad breath may be coming from your stomach and this is why he has prescribed Omeprazole. Yoy donlt have to have indigestion problems to be takinf this medication as it is for many diffrent causes.

    Also try using mouth washes and brush your teeth more regular and see if this changes anything. Regular visits tio the dentis will also help.
