Omeprazole x 2 twice a day

I already know I have a hiatus hernia but I've noticed food was sticking half way Down my chest, and it was very painful until the food goes down.

I went for an endoscopy and they informed me I have gastritis , but they asked me to put my omeprazole up to 2 twice a day, but since I have my stomach has blown up and it's so painful? Could this be the omeprazole that's doing this does anyone know??

      Hi

I am on Omeprazole they are ok to be honest but when the Hospital put me on 4 a day my stomach never liked them as my stomach used to swell and I seem to feel sick, however since cutting the dose down to only 2 a day my stomach seems better.

I think you will be fine on them, let me know how you get on with them?.  C
