The symptoms you describe sound to me as if it could be gallbladder problems. perhaps Gallstones. I have stomach pains and pain going from the front to my back especially between shoulder blades. look to what you ahve eaten before the pain starts. if there are fats in what you have eaten it could be that you have gallstones. A good medication to take is Gaviscon Advance. It is thicker than the ordinary Gaviscon and is very effective. I was told to have Gaviscon before meals and have also had Gaviscon after too. I found a hot bean bag held against my stomach helps relieve the pain as well.

Ask your GP about the possibility of you having Gallstones, if it is Gallstones avoid fats of any kind. I used to have humous on my bread instead of butter. It can be a very painful condition. I do hope this is of help to you and I wish for you a speedy recognition of your condition. Its no fun suffering pain.

    Hi

As soon as I started reading this I thought 'Gallstones'. I have been having stomach pains at least once a week for the past 9 months. It usually comes on at night and when I've eatern a fatty meal, although recently it's after all kinds of meals. I kept going to my GP and she kept precsribing me heartburn medication even though I kept saying it didn't feel like heartburn. She then referred me for an enscopy.

Anyway last week I woke up in the middle of the night with the worse stomach pain imaginable. I couldn't get off the floor I was in that much pain so my boyfriend took me to A&E where they scanned me an I have gallstones. I am now awaiting a referral to a General Surgeon and as I write this I am awake again in pain.

I would definitely ask your GP about gallstones and even if there is no history of it in your family ask to have an ultrasound.

Hope this helps and good luck!
