Pain on my left side just under my rib cage

I have been suffering for well over a week with horrible pain on my left side just under my ribs, it starts in the front and wraps around to the back. It hurts horribly when I move my torso at all. I've already been to my doctor and he didn't think too much about it, but he did do an x ray to rule out any broken ribs and, of course, there were none. I answered a lot of questions and concerns in this group and I am hoping I get some help because I am just desperate and in so much pain.

    One thing I can think of is a kidney infection?? Does it hurt to urinate and do you feel like you have to go often? I know when I had a UTI, it turned into a kidney infection and my left side just hurt immensely. 

    The other thing I can think of is some sort of food sensitivity, like to gluten to dairy. But that seems less likely.

    I hope you find out what it is and get to feeling better soon!
