Hi guys, went to the specialist. He wants me to have a biopsy, to see if the sarcoidosis is still active. Have to wait and see.

    Hi, I think this is wise and a good move at leats you will know what is going on and can deal with it accordingly

    I had one 9 months after I was diagnosed. I underwent a mediastinoscopy where a few lymph nodes were removed.

      Hi I had the same, but what they took proved inconclusive so I had to have a more intrustive proceedure which wasnt too bad.

    (assuming its a medistinal biopsy you're going to have) If you can get referred to a specialist who does EBUS (endobronchial ultrasound) its a lot less uncomfortable than a mediastinoscopy (respect Gustav!). I was able to sing in a concert a few days after my last one, though I was still spitting up a bit of blood smile

    I had a muscle biopsy as well and that was pretty uncomfortable for a couple of weeks afterwards.
