Sarcoidosis

Hi everyone. I had serious sarcoidosis about 12 years ago. It all started with a cough that I had for several weeks. Then i got really ill and dad a spell in hospital and confined to bed for a week. I've never been so scared in all my life as my lungs got sticky it was so hard to breathe. There was many times I would throw myself against the wall. Strange it may seem. I got very weak and was off work for about 3/4 months as I can remember. As now I've had a cough for many weeks and now I've had a heavy cold and been told I have a chest infection. But this cough does not seem right to me. I'm worried?????If I went to my doctors and explained would they let me have a blood test??????? Any thoughts and one please.

I'm not sure why you would want a blood test. But yes, go to your doctor and tell them about your concerns . After all it won't cost you anything ( assuming you're in the UK), and will give you a better idea of what is going on. You might need a better antibiotic.

I would definitely make an appointment with the doctor.

Do you have a pulmonary specialist?

if not,it's not as important as getting to a primary, who should test you for bronchitis, which can become pneumonia, if not handled, as well as give you  blood tests for sarc. Markers.

As far as I'm concerned, the sooner, the better.

Wishing you well. let us know how you are doing, going forward.
