Serrapeptase

Does anyone know if serrapeptase has proven helpful in ridding the body of sarcoid granulomas?  After a test revealed I have very high Vitamin D I did some reading and apparently the granulomas can activate Vitamin D, so they throw the body's normal regulatory system out of whack.  I'm not aware of any other symptoms (diagnosed through biopsy with sarcoidosis many years ago).

What is Serrapeptase? sounds like an enzyme.  is it produced by the liver?

I had low vitamin D levels before I was diagnosed with Sarcoid in my lungs Decemeber 2015.  I have been taking vit D but stopped in the autumn of 2015 because my calcuim levesl were raised. End of May a blood test showed my vit D was low again. so have restarted them.

I have been taking medication for the sarcoid, since January 2016, which suppresses my immune system.

currently after a period of feeling well and having more energy I have been feeling stiff, weak and tired.  I cant seem to get fit and exercise makes me feel unwell.

Just shows everyone with sarcoid has different symptoms and very different expereinces.

Some one mentioned it on another forum.  It's derived from silkworms and considered a natural therapy useful in treating inflammation.  Also it's supposed to work on biofilms, whatever they are, and as far as I know biofilm has something to do with the production of sarcoid granulomas.
