Steroid treatment!

To all sarcoid patients or suspected sarcoid diagnosis. This is very important; please keep in mind that if you suspect you have sarcoidosis or a medical professional has suggested treatment or testing for diagnosis or confirmation. It is likely that if you have taken steroid therapy for any other treatment within six months it can mask your diagnosis. Please inform your Dr that you have taken steroids. I had been taking epidurals for back pain, even with spleen enlargement confirmation in December of 2011 sarcoid was not confirmed until September of 2011.

    hi

    I wear a bracelet which states that I am taking steroids. The letters are large and obvious so in case of an emergency paramedics and others are aware.
