Stomach pain

Hi, I'm into my third week on Omeprazole and this evening I felt a pain in my stomach just below the belly button as if someone was pressing a finger into my stomach (which is the only way I can describe it). As I've never had a pain like that before I assume it must be related to being on these tablets so I wondered if anyone else has felt something similar? I don't really want to make an appointment with the doctor only to be told it's just a side effect of the medication.

I felt no pain on the medication only when coming off it

Hello smile Yes, it’s most likely related to the omeprazole. I would advise getting off the drug, just from personal experience. Feel free to email me if you need any suggestions on getting off!

Thanks for your replies. I'm going to go back to the doctor and find out for sure what this pain is. From what I've been reading on here I don't think I want to stay on this medication, there must be an alternative I can suggest to the doctor but I guess they all have side effects of some variety sad

True! I know dealing with symptoms the natural way can seem daunting but if at all possible it saves you a lot of trouble in the long run! Happy to help if you need any suggestions, getting off omprazole has taught me so so much about stomach remedies and food choices
