strange turn lastnight

Hi all, had a weird turn lastnigh, it isn't uncommon for me to have coughing fits and occasionally to black out during really bad ones, but lastnight after a bad one and blacking out I appeared to have like a seizure, I have primary PRV with all the nasties that come with it ie enlarged spleen portal hypertension etc. Just wondering if anyone else has suffered something like this.

    HI Paul! After reading your post I think this coughing that causes you to black needs to be addressed! You must see your Doctor or be referred to a specialist. Personally I have heard of this being a symptom. I do get the odd coughing spells but not as severe as you mentioned in your post. I always have a bottle of water with me because of this. Your Doctor may be able to shed some light on this problem. Keep us posted

    I agree with Ellen, you need to get this checked out.  I don't know of anyone else with these symptoms but it is known that one can suffer a stroke or heart attack with PV. Let's wish you every success.

    Off to the dr on Wednesday, he has never been overly concerned about me blacking out in the past but will see what he says this time

    Paul you must demand an answer for this problem. Keep us posted after you see the Doctor on Wednesday. If the answer is not firm then ask to be referred to a specialist. This is not normal. Keep us posted
