Suffering with Long Covid

Over the past few months I have been suffering with most if not all of the typical long covid symptoms. I just had a telephone conversation with a doctor who has told me that because I was not tested for covid19 and found to be infected and because I was not tested for covid antibodies before I received my first vaccination injection that I cannot be considered to be a long covid sufferer and therefore would not be accepted by a long covid clinic. Is this correct ?

Don't hold your.breath. My wife has been.suffering very badly after a positive test for the last 19 weeks!! She has been referred to the long covid clinic weeks ago but they have not responded. Have struggled to see a gp for about 12 weeks. Finally had ct scan and endoscopy. Hospital refused to see her for blood clots and left it to the gp! Treatment for gastro issues has not worked and she is now in severe pain. Gastro consultants not interested and visit to A&E was even more unsuccessful. We are at the end of the road. I guess a 72 year old is expendable. There are many "pretty" documents issued by the NHS, NICE and local ccgs - if only they were actually applied there may be some solution. There is an online document Covid Your Recovery which you may want to look up - unfortunately of no use if you have gastro issues

    Good luck
