Sun sensitive with omeprazole

I started taking omeprazole 3 weeks ago for severe acid reflux which I am awaiting investigation. 6 days ago I went for a walk as it was a lovely sunny day. I started the next day with horrendous itchy rash, first on my hands and face. The doctor gave me antihistamine which did nothing. Another nice day yesterday and I sat in the garden for a while. Omg today the rash is everywhere that wasn't covered by clothes, even the tip of my feet. I feel I'm going crazy with the itch. I'm sure it must be the omeprazole but I'm scared to stop because of the acid!
